Welcome to Ironbridge Web Hosting
Usable, professional and affordable multimedia design and development
Hello, my name is Tim Dwyer and Ironbridge Web Hosting is the branding that I apply to my collective set of skills. I am a contractor and musician working and living in London - see my biography for more information. At the moment I am specialising in website and music development.
If you want a more personalised website designing then you may just have come to the right place. In between contracting I design and develop web sites and applications. I don't aim at the larger corporations, I develop for smaller businesses where I can take more time and care over the site using a wide and varied skill set. This means professional quality at affordable prices.
I develop sites from an accessible point of view so everything on the site is organised and easy to update. Text can easily be expanded without causing display problems, the site can be viewed "bare" without any styles being switched on. There is minimal use of Flash and JavaScript and where the two technologies are used there are alternatives for the user. Colour schemes and fonts are carefully chosen and images are optimised for quick loading whilst retaining a sharp picture quality.
The sites are structured properly with headings, paragraphs and lists in the correct order so that screen readers and search engines can easily navigate the pages. The pages are cross browser compatible and kept to a minimum size keeping the user content with page load waiting times. No frames are used with my sites and tables are used only to display data which is what they were always intended for. In fact the sites are kept up to date using the latest W3C technologies and recommendations.
